Have you ever wondered how convenient it would be if you could check your vitamin and mineral levels in the comforts of your home without specially making a trip to the clinic for a health screening? With Vitastiq, now you can! It can measure up to 30 different kinds of vitamins and minerals.

As a mother to a young child who is a very picky eater, it often worries me if my child is getting an adequate amount of vitamins and minerals (especially Calcium and Iron) on a daily basis. As we all know, deficiency in important vitamins and minerals are vital to a child’s health since they are constantly growing and developing mentally and physically. Getting the right nutrients is also essential for the elderly with age-related illnesses that may often lead to compromised immune systems. After getting to know the existence of Vitastiq, I cannot wait to get my hands on it so that I can monitor my child’s nutrient intake and supplement her limited diet with multi-vitamins whenever necessary.

What is Vitastiq?

Vitastiq 2 is a compact wireless hand-held device that looks like a tablet stylus. It is made of titanium which gives it a sleek and modernistic feel and is compatible with most smartphones and tablets (i.e. Android and iOS). Vitastiq 2 is the second new and improved version which communicates with your mobile app via Bluetooth thus eliminating the need for wires and physical plug-in (as in the case of Vitastiq 1).

The quick and hassle-free DIY health check-up provides unprecedented convenience and accessibility to users. Together with the mobile app, Vitastiq helps you to monitor your vitamin and mineral status on a regular basis and provides you with personal professional advice on how to improve your current well-being with the right choice of macro- and micro-nutrients. With the app, users can look back at their previous readings to track their health status or how monitor how their current diet is affecting their health.

How exactly does it work?

For the cynics out there, you can be rest assured that Vitastiq is nothing like a gimmick. In fact, Vitastiq uses an old and established scientific method to measure your nutrient levelsThis methodology is known as the “Electro-acupuncture according to Voll” (EAV) technology which has been widely tried and tested by physicians, pharmacists and dieticians around the globe for more than 60 years.

Vitastiq calculates the electrical resistance of your skin at a particular acupuncture point in connection to the reference point (which is determined during the calibration process). Centuries of experience in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has shown that acupuncture points in a human body differ from the surrounding skin. This technology tracks imbalances in your body’s nutrient levels and how it correlates to your current body condition. Till today, only large analogue machines are used to track one’s nutrient levels which is commonly used in clinics and hospitals during health screenings. The team behind Vitastiq has thus ingeniously married the EAV methodology and the latest technology together to produce a small, light and incredibly user-friendly tool to monitor one’s health in the most accessible and convenient way possible.

How do you locate a measuring point?

As shown in the diagram above, all you need to do to locate a measuring point is to follow the steps below:

  • Locate the exact point within 3 to 5 mm in the area of the measuring point
  • Slightly and slowly move the tip of Vitastiq within the acupuncture point to obtain the highest value. The highest value shows is the correct value.

For more accurate results, moisten the tip of Vitastiq using a damp cotton pad before calibration and before touching each measuring point. In-app video tutorials and prompts can guide you along the way so that your experience with Vitastiq remains easy and seamless.
